The Wisptype
Philosophy.
We believe transcription tools should make local processing clear by default, while keeping cloud workflows explicit and account-linked.
Crafting the
Perfect Tool
Wisptype is built around a simple product boundary: local transcription first, optional cloud workflows when the user chooses account-linked features.
We wanted to create a tool that delivered strong local transcription first, then layered in optional cloud workflows for richer meeting output and account-linked features. After months of research, we built Wisptype.
The current product combines a cross-platform desktop app, account-based entitlements, subscription billing, and optional cloud features for eligible plans.
Our Core Values.
Privacy First
Local transcription stays on your device by default. Cloud workflows are optional and only used when you choose them.
Quality Obsessed
We're audio engineers who care about every detail of the transcription process, from noise reduction to final text output.
Simplicity
Powerful features shouldn't require a PhD. We make professional transcription accessible and intuitive for everyone.
Flexible Workflows
Support local dictation first, then use online cloud workflows only when they fit the task and plan.
Community Driven
Built for and with our users, constantly evolving based on real-world feedback and needs.
Continuous Innovation
Keep improving local transcription, cloud workflows, and desktop automation without hiding the trade-offs.
